Been told that your 'bad cholesterol' is raised?

How about I tell you 'bad cholesterol' doesn't exist ... and neither does 'good cholesterol' for that matter. There is only 'cholesterol' and I can assure you it absolutely essential to your health and well-being.
Why is it important?
Cholesterol is a major component of the brain and is essential to the health and integrity of most cells of the body. It is the building block for our sex hormones and our vitamin D and a key component of our body's natural defence mechanisms. Intentionally starving the body of cholesterol it is total folly.
What are my levels?
My total cholesterol varies naturally between 6 and 8 mmol/L (approximately 230 - 310 mg/dL) depending on numerous factors.
Are you worried about your cholesterol level?
Are you one of the millions of people with a perfectly normal level of cholesterol who has been convinced it is abnormal and perhaps been persuaded it is a good idea to take steps to reduce it through diet or by taking medication?
Maybe book an appointment with me and I'll explain why and how you may be damaging your health, not protecting it.
