Which Fats?

I consume plenty of natural fats to keep me healthy!


My favourite sources are:


Cold-pressed, organic virgin olive oil

Organic coconut oil

Organic butter

Lard

Tallow

Ghee

Full fat Greek yoghurt

Bacon fat

Goose fat


These give me a good mix of saturated and unsaturated fats plus plenty of cholesterol.


Consuming healthy fats helps me avoid metabolic dysfunction and supports my immune system.


What to avoid


The fats to avoid are the ones that are highly processed such as seed oils and trans-fats. The eating habit to avoid is regularly consuming processed oils combined with processed carbohydrates: this is a recipe for inflammation, diabetes, weight gain, and heart disease. A typical example of such a food item would be a donut; delicious, of course, but really not good for us!
